- This article is about the Kid Icarus stage from Super Smash Bros. Brawl. For World 5 from Super Mario Bros. 3 also known as "Sky World", see Sky Land.
Skyworld (Japanese: Tenkuukai), based on Angel Land, is Pit's homeland from Kid Icarus, and is a stage in Super Smash Bros. Brawl with a statue the goddess, Palutena, in the background. It has fragile platforms that may be destroyed by powerful attacks. It is even possible for the main platform to get destroyed, turning the level into a stage of cloud platforms, which can be dropped through by pressing down on the Control Stick. However, the platforms will regenerate in a short while.
In the Subspace Emissary, Skyworld is a location in the World of Trophies, and the second stage overall. Pit is watching the fight at Midair Stadium when the Subspace Army attacks. After the arena is taken into Subspace, Palutena appears, gives Pit a bow, and sends him on his way. As Pit explores the sky, he finds the Halberd deploying the Subspace Army. He fights them off, then comes across Mario. He revives him from his trophy form and teams up with him. They eventually see the Halberd flying away, and an Arwing chasing it.
The stage returns in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. Aside from a higher graphic resolution, the stage retains its properties from Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
