Overview
Overview
There is a Help Block, a block for the Pink Yoshi to replenish his egg supply with, and an Arrow Cloud filled with coins. After passing some Sluggers and Green Gloves is a winged ? Cloud, which will lower the platform blocking the path when hit with an egg. After collecting the first Special Flower, Yoshi ascends a slope, passing two Shy Guys, a next Blow Hard and multiple Mildes. He then reaches three platforms, another Blow Hard and a ? Cloud containing an extra life. Continuing right, the player will encounter a Pipe from which Shy Guys come out of, providing Yoshi with the means to replenish his egg supply. Hitting a nearby ? Cloud causes a beanstalk sunflower to grow, leading up to a small tunnel filled with Blow Hards. At the end of the tunnel, two Fly Guys are floating around carrying Red Coins.
Yoshi starts off in a field, with a Message Block, an Egg Block, an Arrow Cloud and some Green Gloves near them. If an egg is thrown at the Arrow Cloud it will transport the egg to an area filled with coins that will get collected. There is also a Slugger nearby, as well as a Winged Cloud which must be hit in order to lower a platform. After this segment, there will be one that has Shy-Guys, Blow Hards and Mildes in it. At the end of the segment the player will need to throw an egg at another Winged Cloud, which cause a Beanstalk to grow. The player will then have to climb the Beanstalk as well as the area it leads to, before dropping down to an area that contains a Super Star, that needs to be used to get past some Spikes, directly after the Spikes is the Middle Ring. After the Middle Ring are several wooden platforms and some Flatbed Ferries that lead to the next area.

In this area, is a blue watermelon which can be used to freeze a nearby Wild Piranha and some Shy-Guys. After these enemies is a Spring Ball which will propel the player upwards and into an area with several platforms, some of them containing Red Coins and in the bottom one is another Middle Ring. After going past the platforms the player will be in a cave with Little Mousers and various branching paths. The path on the left leads to a Super Blue Watermelon and the path on the right leads to the next area.

The next area is also a small cave area. At the beginning of it is a Winged Cloud that contains a morph bubble that will transform Yoshi into the Mole Tank, which must then be used to dig through some dirt and get some Red Coins. This cave also contains several branching paths. The paths eventually leads to an area underneath the cave that will lead to the Goal Ring.
After jumping down through a gap, Yoshi lands near another Help Block, which teaches him about Superstar Mario. Yoshi then falls through some outlines blocks and lands on two wooden steps, which can be run down for Red Coins. Falling through another gap, Yoshi throws an egg at the purple-colored Arrow Cloud pointing left to destroy a small block of soil and allow the Super Star to fall. Collecting the Super Star will transform Baby Mario into Superstar Mario, who then runs through the Flipper Paddles on the left to reach the new area via an obstacle course filled with more Super Stars.

Once the Super Star’s effects wear off, the Pink Yoshi returns to normal, passes through the Middle Ring, and replenishes his egg supply using an Egg Block. Yoshi then walks down the slope and throws and egg at a Slugger (when it faces right), which bats it into the ? Cloud below the platform, revealing it to contain the second Flower, which can be obtained using the same method. After that, Yoshi walks over some wooden and moving platforms, avoiding Green Gloves and gaps and collecting Red Coins. After that is a grassy patch with a small hole containing a Green Glove, that can be tricked into throwing an egg into a ? Cloud, giving Yoshi another Red Coin.

Yoshi then enters a new area, where an Ice Watermelon can be obtained and used to freeze a Piranha Plant and a Shy Guy. Using a Large Spring Ball, Yoshi reaches a higher platform leading to a grassy patch and then to the next Middle Ring. Backtracking to the grass, Yoshi then jumps into a floating mass of soil and retrieves Stars and coins. Exiting this hidden tunnel, Yoshi comes upon another Large Spring Ball and an Egg Block. Using the Ball and some more floating dirt mounds, Yoshi collects the third Flower and enters another secret tunnel filled with Little Mousers. The small creatures run around the tunnels carrying eggs or trying to steal some of Yoshi’s eggs, though they are more of a nuisance than a threat. Beyond a Blow Hard, the tunnel splits into two paths; the top one leads to a Flower and contains both Coins and Red Coins, as well as more Little Mousers and Piranha Plants. Another Ice Watermelon can be retrieved and used to easily defeat enemies on the way back to the junction from the Flower; this time Yoshi takes the bottom (right) path, defeats a single Piranha Plant, and exits the tunnel.

Another secret tunnel is found in the next area. Inside the tunnel is a ? Cloud that releases a Metamorphosis Bubble when hit with an egg; touching it turns Yoshi into a Yoshi Mole Tank, which can burrow through the ground for coins (including three red ones). Once that’s done, Yoshi continues right down a slope and takes the right of two possible paths, leading to three Red Coins guarded by a Slugger. The left path brings Yoshi to a Little Skull Mouser and a Crate filled with Stars or Coins. Running right lets Yoshi collect another Red Coin, an going left leads to a gap. Dropping through it and then running right again brings the player to a Tap-Tap and a ? Cloud containing a 1-Up. Backtracking left past the Tap-Tap, collecting more Red Coins, stars and/or normal coins, before passing another Tap-Tap and sliding down a slope. Here, a jumping Tap-Tap guards a Red Coin and an Ice Watermelon. Now going right, Yoshi encounters more slopes and ? Clouds. Dropping down another gap, Yoshi finds a Tulip and a Green Shy Guy; below that platform is the exit to the tunnel.

Now the Yoshi is in an area with spikes and a Green Glove wandering around, giving Yoshi the chance to have an egg batted into the last Red Coin of the level. Once the coin is collected, the Yoshi returns to the tunnel and goes right, encountering more Little Mousers (some holding eggs) and Piranha Plants. Dropping into a small room lined with spikes and a single Spring Ball, which Yoshi must use to jump up and collect the final Flower and another Ice Melon, and then return to the tunnel above. Going right leads to one last Piranha Plant and then the Goal Ring, where Pink Yoshi hands Baby Mario over to Cyan Yoshi.
