Cut from the Team is a luck-based Battle minigame in Mario Party 8. The name is an expression used when someone is removed from a team, e.g., in sports.
IntroductionEdit
The four players are shown on a mountain with a small stand and ten wires connected to it.
GameplayEdit
Players line up and take turns walking onto the stand and cutting one of the ten wires, three of which are "live." A player who cuts a dead wire is safe and moves to the back of the line. A player who cuts a "live" wire sends a catapult that hurls them off the platform into the canyon, thus eliminating them. The minigame continues until one player remains, and that player wins.
