The Yoshi Bird 4-gō is the fourth vehicle of the Great Bōeigun that appears in the third chapter of Super Mario Bros. 4: Super Mario World 7 of the Super Mario Kodansha manga.

It is a yellow submarine (likely a nod to the Beatles song) with a "4" painted on the floaters. Like the rest of the Yoshi Bird, it is designed to resemble a Yoshi as well as a submersible. The head is capable of swallowing objects inside the vehicle. Unlike most of the Yoshi Bird, while it is deployed from an egg, no transformation from mechanical Baby Yoshi to vehicle is shown.

To rescue Luigi, who is trapped at the bottom of the Sarasaland sea, Mario goes underwater with the Yoshi Bird 4-gō. Bowser notices him and sics various underwater minions against him. Mario easily defeats them, rescues Luigi, retrieves the Henshin Capsule, and defeats Bowser's kaiju as Super Mario Great. After the transformation expires, Mario returns to the sub to pretend he was underwater during the whole fight.
