Yosshīzaurusu
Yosshīzaurusu
Appears in Super Mario Kodansha manga (Mario & Wario) (1994)
Variant of Yoshi

Yosshīzaurusu are the next step in Yoshi's evolution. They are bigger than a Yoshi, and wear a hachimaki. They are also hostile towards those who do not have a big nose like them. They appear in the Mario & Wario manga of the Super Mario Kodansha manga.

The Yosshīzaurusu are hired to build Wario's bases on Kumotori Yama, while Aku no Keshin takes care of their meal. Mario, Princess Peach, Yoshi, and Wanda find Aku no Keshin cooking a soup with what looks to be Luigi and stop them. The demon calls the Yosshīzaurusu. The heroes are scared, but the Yoshis decide to let Mario and Yoshi be, honoring their bond as big-nosed brothers. However, they direct their hostility towards Peach, due to her small nose, but Wanda temporarly enlarges it and the Yosshīzaurusu leave her be, too. They then focus on their meal, after removing the victim inside (who is revealed to be Mototin and not Luigi)

During the final battle, Wario stomps on Mario's nose. The Yosshīzaurusu sense their big-nosed brother in danger through "big-nosed telepathy" and charges at Wario's base, destroying it and saving Mario. After infusing him with big-nosed power, Mario counterattacks, saves Luigi and then finishes Wario and Aku no Keshin with a Excellent Hyper Hana Beam.

In one panel, Goro, the baby dinosaur from Super Mario Land 2, and Yoshi's precursor, is seen among them.
