The Super Famicom Box is a kiosk manufactured and released by Nintendo only in Japan that can play Super Famicom games, including a few games in the Super Mario franchise and Donkey Kong franchise. The system was designed for use in hotels and businesses in order to offer games without needing to swap out cartridges. Unlike the previously released Famicom Box kiosk, which was rental only, the Super Famicom Box could be purchased directly. The kiosk can hold up to two cartridges. However, one of them, the PSS-61, is required to be inserted as it also contains the BIOS along with three games. The cartridges used in the kiosk are significantly bigger than regular Super Famicom cartridges.[1]
List of games[edit]
A total of eight Super Famicom games was reissued for this kiosk.
