The Famicom Box is a kiosk manufactured and released by Nintendo only in Japan that can play Family Computer games, including a few games in the Super Mario franchise and Donkey Kong franchise. It was also released by Sharp under the name Famicom Station. The kiosks were leased by JTB Traveland Transportation for ¥2,350 per month under a five-year contract. The Famicom Box initially came bundled with ten cartridges, with additional five-cartridge bundles being sold separately for ¥35,000. The kiosk can hold up to fifteen cartridges. The cartridges and controllers are based on the Nintendo Entertainment System with the branding also being used.[1]
