Candy Shop

Candy Shops are stores found throughout the boards of Mario Party 8, where players can purchase Candies. Provided a player has at least five coins, they will be allowed to enter a Candy Shop. Candy Shops are always run by the local residents of the board, such as Spear Guys in DK's Treetop Temple, Piantas in Goomba's Booty Boardwalk, Red Boos in King Boo's Haunted Hideaway, Shy Guys in Shy Guy's Perplex Express, Koopa Troopas in Koopa's Tycoon Town, and Toadies in Bowser's Warped Orbit.
Inside a Candy Shop, the player is presented with three Candies to choose from (on a few rare occasions, two or even all three of the Candies are identical). Candies usually cost between five to twenty coins, and they are sold at fixed prices. However, every once in a while, a Candy Shop sells its Candies at a discounted price, depending on which ranking the player visiting the Candy Shop is in. Twice Candy is commonly sold in Candy Shops, but on occasions, a Candy Shop sells a variety of Candy such as Thrice Candy, Duelo Candy, and Bowlo Candy. However, the Candy Shop does not include some types of Candy, depending on the board. When the game reaches the last turn, the Candy Shops are closed.
