Chapter 3, Story 4: Escape from Maze Woods
A bee that has stung Wario

Bees[1][2] are enemies in Wario Land II that appear as oversized bees. They usually fly above the ground and move down when they notice Wario in order to sting him. A sting causes Wario to become Puffy Wario. Bees can be defeated by one of Wario's attacks, but they cannot be stunned and grabbed like most enemies. A giant bee also appears as a boss in the game. Bees are unable to sting Wario while he is crouching at the ground (jumping while crouching will negate this advantage however).

Their counterparts in Wario Land 3 and Wario Land 4 are Pneumos and Beezleys, respectively. They all have the same basic attack pattern, and the latter even uses a similar sprite.
