A Rockkroc.

Rockkrocs are a rare variety of Kremlings found only in the game Donkey Kong Country. Rockkrocs, unlike other Kremlings, have brown rocky skin and red eyes. In fact, this skin is so tough, Rockkrocs are invulnerable to any form of attack. Additionally, Rockkrocs are extremely fast, allowing them to quickly dispatch anyone that invades their territory. When inactive, a Rockkroc will curl into a ball (and resemble a boulder).

In the original Donkey Kong Country, Rockkrocs appeared in only one level, "Stop & Go Station." Since they are invulnerable, Donkey and Diddy Kong had to figure out another way to pass by them. Unfortunately, since Rockkrocs are so fast, it was virtually impossible for Donkey and Diddy to pass them by jumping. As soon as they landed, the heroes would be immediately attacked by one of the agile Rockkrocs. However, the two Kongs could activate special barrels located throughout the level that would prevent the Rockkrocs from moving. These barrels are normally on the "GO" setting, but when the Kongs hit the barrel, the setting switched to "STOP." At this time, the Rockkrocs curl into balls and stop moving, allowing Donkey and Diddy to pass by. However, this effect would only last for a short period time. After a few seconds, the barrels would revert back to the "GO" setting, allowing the Rockkrocs to run wild.

In the Game Boy Advance remake of Donkey Kong Country, Rockkrocs could be defeated. Donkey Kong could use his Hand Slap attack to destroy a Rockkroc while it was curled up in a ball.
