Yoshi Bird 2-gō
Appears in Super Mario Kodansha manga (Super Mario Bros. 4: Super Mario World 7) (1992)

The Yoshi Bird 2-gō is the second vehicle of the Great Bōeigun, that appears in the first chapter of Super Mario Bros. 4: Super Mario World 7 of the Super Mario Kodansha manga.

It is a red drill vehicle with a "2" painted on the side. Like the rest of the Yoshi Bird, it is designed to resemble a Yoshi. When deployed, in a Yoshi's Egg, it is a Baby Yoshi robot that turns into a drill machine: the nose becomes the drill, crawler wheels appear under the shoes, and the crest becomes pointy.

When Yoshi, the teacher, and the BomBom Yōchien students get trapped in the bunker by Super Mecha Koopa, the former calls for support. Mario arrives with the Yoshi Bird 2-gō to rescue them from underground. Due to the weight capacity, Mario decides to go afoot after everyone jumps in, but while they manage to tunnel out safely, Mario gets trapped under the rubble; he manages to escape after transforming into Super Mario Great.
