well it had to happen again at some point. also all my project pages are music references because it got confusing to link across like 12 sites all named Sandbox.

Bomberto[edit]

Page taken from StrategyWiki; I wrote it all so licensing non-compat is no issue. Gotta find a better way to integrate this into the primary Bomberto or I'm hungry page(s). made a video on the topic too. This information was spaded personally with the use of save states and literally running through every item in the game to see what worked and what didn't. I did not test this with Eve in Twilight Town...which I assume uses the same qualifier but obviously I don't know that for sure. If someone else is bored and wants to do this in my stead go right ahead I do not care.

poor file names[edit]

woah woah woah woah calm down no pitchforks and torches just yet. i'm not pushing for a global file naming system again (even though that in doing so it reduced all of wikirby's maintenance categories to zero and inkipedia's to less than 100 total pages). these are just like the particular stinkers that don't make sense in any regard for use and aren't helpful when referencing anywhere, be it search, allpages, or when writing—that includes non-content spaces like shroom or userpages. consider this the cream of the crop if the cream was evil/poorly named files. list incomplete, but it's a good start.

audio[edit]

Audio narc here: WAV files are not great for wiki purposes due to size, but also copyright logistics. There's no sure shot precedent for this, but generally speaking having uncompressed/lossless audio is less likely to meet a threshold for fair use. Crux of this argument is substitution: Can people use this wiki as a direct replacement for the end product. Having an ostensibly lower quality file (even though it may not necessarily be perceptibly "lower quality" for an average listener), helps to further differentiate the two sources. These files should be re-captured and re-uploaded. I personally suggest/have made policy elsewhere to use 160kbps 16b 44.1/48kHz MP3 files. Help:Media file probably needs updated in that regard.

More pedantically, it may be wise to start trying to re-rip files to be MP3, given Apple's weird strange refusal to support vorbis as file types. This can also ensure files are taken from in-game/in-media and not just some random YouTube rip, which could also be compressed as is. Better sourcing, better accessibility, better sound consistency. This was performed on several wikis, most notably Inkipedia. End result was consistent playback across the entire site with volume, playback quality, and naming. Tedious as it may be, it does help user experience a lot. May require proposals to actually do in the long term.

beta[edit]

use of this word is not great, these probably are inaccurately named

This table[edit]

this table is awful theres almost certainly a better way to do it

accessibility[edit]

im sure more examples of this are around, but it was noticed here first. the specific use of color to make distinctions is generally a frowned upon practice in regards to web accessibility. Maybe in addition to color change make them bold or italic? probably needs greater site analysis

merch[edit]

add the funky camera i have to the Merchandise page somewhere. it might not be official, but it's hard to tell. Images need recaptured for clarity but they serve the purpose enough at present. Vague reference to this camera exists at Camera Wiki, which is a wiki I discovered existed about fifteen minutes ago.

all of the creative commons names are wrong[edit]

this is super nitpicky and probably irrelevant with intent to change file template anyway, but all of the creative commons names/usages are wrong. there is no hyphen between cc and the license type (cc by-sa) and there is no hyphen between the license type and the version number (by-sa 4.0). I'm not sure anybody cares enough to fix it but it might be kind of important to at least call the text licenses as in the legal framework for use by the proper names. probably.

fold licenses to aboutfile[edit]

like, there's a lot i'd like to tackle here but this is the primary thing. theres no reason to not fold in licensing to the primary file template as it reduces redundancy/spread of about the same information. Categories can be found here. With TMWA module format, autocategory can also be implemented removing the need for the type-based licenses which don't really make sense to differentiate from. But, like, at the very least lets cut down on the 70 bajillion licenses thing.
