Chatty Mr. Spell Book is a character in WarioWare: Smooth Moves, appearing in The Loquacious Spell Book, Ashley and Red's stage. He is an old-looking, brown, living spell book with a skull on his cover.
In Ashley's story, Ashley tries a spell on a flower sprout in an attempt to turn it into a carnivorous plant, but the effect just causes a simple white flower to blossom from it, to the disappointment of Ashley, so Chatty Mr. Spell Book appears to help her. During the stage, he acts as the microgame counter. Before every microgame begins, Chatty Mr. Spell Book opens his mouth to show the form within, and then opens his cover to reveal a number corresponding to the current round. Winning causes him to dance happily. If the player fails, Chatty Mr. Spell Book becomes enraged with sparks in his eyes. After the stage is beaten, Chatty Mr. Spell Book tells Ashley what to do and happily declares that she is now ready to try the spell again before he disappears. She tries the spell on another sprout. This time, it is successful as the sprout grows into an enormous flower monster. In response, Red cowers, while Ashley smiles.
