Jr.'s Jauntlet is a Showdown minigame in Super Mario Party Jamboree. It is centered around Bowser Jr., and it has four players complete a series of rounds, most of which involve avoiding enemies, to earn points. Like other Showdown minigames, this minigame cannot be played in the Mario Party mode if Bowser Jr. is an active player character, though he can still be used in this minigame in Minigame Bay modes.
Overview[edit]
The introduction begins with the players standing around on a rectangular, Junior Clown Car-themed platform with a screen for a floor, as Bowser Jr. (or his look-alike) flies above them in his Junior Clown Car He laughs and pushes a couple buttons on a remote he is holding, causing the screen floor to turn on and surprise the players. Bowser Jr. then flies towards the players and summons various enemies (specifically, a Thwomp, a Chargin' Chuck, a Hammer Bro, an Amp, a Chain Chomp in a cage carried by two Toadies, several Fuzzies, and two Bullet Bills flying in a straight line).
The minigame consists of a series of ten randomly-selected rounds, each of them tasking the players with a specific challenge. Each round begins by showing the enemy or object involved on the screen floor, and giving the players a prompt. Most of these rounds involve the players avoiding the attacks of a specific Super Mario enemy for five seconds, with surviving players being awarded one point. All potential rounds are listed below.
The player with the most points at the end wins the minigame and, if applicable, receives Bowser Jr. as a Jamboree Buddy. In Mario Party mode, the player who encountered Bowser Jr. on the board first to trigger the minigame is awarded three points at the beginning as an advantage.

Notes[edit]
- This minigame is one of the two Showdown minigames where the respective Jamboree Buddy does not do their "character selected" pose when the minigame's title shows up: In Bowser Jr.'s case, he simply does a quick celebration. The other one is Luigi Rescue Operation, where Luigi shivers in fear.
