Domino Effect is a mouse minigame in Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV.

Gameplay[edit]

In the 2-vs.-2 version of the minigame, players from both teams must work together to assemble a path of dominoes that leads from the Toad at the start to the flower pot at the end by dragging them. The teams get 22 dominoes in total to accomplish this task. Throughout the map are several obstacles, including Thwomps, Piranha Plants, Stingbys, Biddybuds, Ant Troopers, and Walleyes which can disrupt or knock down nearby dominoes. If a domino accidentally gets knocked over, the screen will revert to before the domino was tipped over, with the first activated domino being removed. When the path is complete, a player can click on the Toad to start the domino chain. The first team to make their domino path reach the flower pot wins. If no one reaches the flower pot within three minutes, the minigame ends in a tie.

In the Co-op version of the minigame, which is played on Carnival Coaster, the players must work together to form a domino path to the end within 90 seconds. The players' rank is determined by how fast the task is completed. The players get 24 dominoes when playing as a team of two and 30 dominoes as a team of four.

Naming[edit]

The name comes from the phrase of the same name that describes a culminative effect produced when an event sets off a chain of similar or other events.
