Shadow Play is a 2-vs.-2 minigame in Super Mario Party Jamboree. Its name comes from the eponymous term, which is a form of entertainment where hands or cutouts are held in front of a light source to create shapes with their shadows.

Introduction[edit]

The players on the red team use their wheels to pull back the shapes displayed on a screen in front of them before the blue team is shown.

Gameplay[edit]

This minigame takes place in a simplistic city at night with Toads and Shy Guys in bleachers. In each round, the players are tasked to match the shape seen in the center of the screen by rotating their wheels to select the shapes that are used in the shadow; there are eight shapes each player can choose that are unique to each team member. If the players believe they found the matching shapes, they can overlap these together, but their positions reset if the resulting shadow is incorrect. The first team to match the shadow in the center receives one point, but if no one makes the current shadow in the time limit, no points are rewarded. The first team to earn three points, or the team with more points after five rounds, wins.

Controls[edit]
