Apes[1] are enemies Wario faces in Wario Land II. Wario's standard smash attack used once would stun the enemy. A second one would defeat him. They are usually found near thin platforms since if they hit Wario, he'll become a spring. In Wario Land 3, apes are replaced by Hammer-bots.

They bear a resemblance to Kongs.
