Unlike the previous two fights against Donkey Kong, this level is not based on an earlier fight, namely [[Level 3-DK]]. Instead, this level has several disintegrating platforms stacked on each other to allow the player to reach Donkey Kong. There are also two [[Kurasshā]]s, one on both sides of the stage, that the player can use as an additional platform. Donkey Kong throws down [[Barrel]]s and lava rocks, which bounce on any remaining disintegrating platforms and land on the ground or into the [[lava]] below. They will also follow the player's movements, always bouncing toward them, and Donkey Kong will occasionally throw a Barrel directly downward. The disintegrating platforms will disappear when either the player, a Barrel, a Kurasshā, or a lava rock touches it. To damage Donkey Kong, the player needs to wait for a Barrel to land, and then carry it up the platforms to throw it at Donkey Kong. Getting crushed by a Kurasshā or falling into the lava will result in an immediate loss. Throwing four Barrels at Donkey Kong will defeat him and the player can move on to the [[Spooky House Plus|next world]].
