The Challenge Space (or an Exclamation Mark Space) is a type of space that is found at least once or twice on every game board in Mario Party 8. It is seen only in Star Battle Arena on every board.
Landing on this space will challenge the player to one of three minigames: Stampede, Fruit Picker, or Pour to Score. If the player wins the minigame, they get to throw a dart at the dart wheel to earn five, ten, or 20 coins, depending on where the dart lands. If the player loses, they will not get an opportunity to throw a dart at the wheel.
