The Super Pickax[1] (spelled Super Pickaxe in British English) is an item that appears in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and its Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS ports. They can be plucked from the ground similar to Turnips. If Captain Toad picks one up, he will swing it repeatedly in front of him, breaking certain objects in his way such as Brick Blocks. After a certain amount of time, the pickax will disappear. The Super Pickax can also be used to defeat enemies, and it works in a similar way to a Super Star.[2] The swinging animation when Captain Toad picks up a Super Pickax is similar to that of the Hammer from Donkey Kong; additionally, the music that plays is an arrangement of "Hammer BGM".
In the Super Mario Mash-up Pack in Minecraft, pickaxes are retextured to resemble the Super Pickax's design, albeit without eyes. The Diamond Pickaxe's color scheme has the closest resemblance to the Super Pickax.
In Mario Golf: Super Rush, Toadette's Special Shot is Super Pickax Stinger. In it, she uses a Super Pickax as a golf club. This was added in the version 2.0.0 update.[3]
A wall-mounted Super Pickax appears in the loading platform of Yoshi's Adventure in Super Nintendo World.[4]
When Toadette is wearing her Explorer outfit in Mario Kart World, the Super Pickax appears in one of her Jump Boost animations.
