Da Vine Climb is a Donkey Kong minigame found in Mario Party 5. The name is a play on "divine climb".
Da Vine Climb has the same setting as the other two Donkey Kong minigames, in a jungle with a tree house and a circus tent resembling Swanky's Sideshow in the background. During gameplay, Donkey Kong hangs from a vine and swings above the player characters while eating bananas.
Gameplay[edit]
This minigame consists of climbing vines and collecting bananas within a ten-second time limit. Each banana awards the player one, two, or three coins, while Banana Bunches award the player five, ten, or fifteen coins. The main obstacle is the several spiders located in the vines. Spiders stun players for a few seconds, and this subtracts from most of their minigame time. Any player who has collected at least one banana wins the minigame.
Ending[edit]
The players who collected bananas celebrate with Donkey Kong. Anyone who did not collect any bananas instead performs their losing pose. If no one collected any bananas, Donkey Kong will also look dejected.
