"Amour Gloire et Acné" is a skit that aired as part of DKTV in 1999.[1] It is a parody of the American soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful, known as Amour, Gloire et Beauté in French. The skit is framed as a poorly dubbed show, featuring deliberately bad lip-syncing, some lines said twice, and Jessica and Ridge saying each other's lines at the end.
Summary[edit]
After the opening credits, which list the characters and their actors, a narrator summarizes the 1234 previous episodes: after Ridge's second breakup with Jessica, who had been cheating on him with Dylan, who was secretly seeing Brooke, who was Ridge’s assistant secretary so she could help defeat his rival Raoul, Ridge decides to invite Brooke on a weekend trip to Nono Lulu to figure out her schemes.
Once the narration ends, the scene switches to Jessica combing her hair and singing "Someday My Prince Will Come". When the doorbell rings, she answers it and finds Ridge standing there. Ridge tells her he’s realized he still wants to be with her, but Jessica explains she’s spending the evening with John, the new accountant at Spectra. After she clears up that she means a different John than the one Ridge was thinking of, Ridge suggests they start a secret relationship like Igor and Natasha. Jessica agrees, and the two kiss.
