Mario's Rainbow Castle is Mario's gameboard in Mario Party. The cloudy board looks pretty already, but players needed to collect stars to restore the great rainbow of the castle. The board is a one-way path to the middle of the board (with 2 junctions). Players that made it to the center would ride Fwoosh up to the tower, where either Toad, or Bowser waited. Toad gave out the stars as usual, but if players made it to Bowser, he awarded them with a fake black star (Ztar) at the cost of 40 coins! After getting either star, Lakitu took the player back to start. The ? Space made the tower turn around, replacing Toad with Bowser, and vice versa.
At the end of the game, the winner's stars formed into a large star that created a magnificent rainbow all over the board. The winner, and the players in 2nd and 3rd place went up the rainbow to celebrate the victory along with Toad, Koopa, Boo, the cloud, and the Star. The players in 3rd and 4th place tries to go up the rainbow too, but he and she slips, falls, and is carried away together by Lakitu.
Trivia
- This board was most likely inspired by the course in Super Mario 64 named "Tower of the Wing Cap". Mario is also seen wearing a Wing Cap in the map's cast artwork (as seen below).
