Wario, Wario Land II instruction booklet

Grunts[1] are heavy enemies found in Wario Land II. They appear as helmet-wearing apes. Grunts walk around and throw spiked balls at Wario that hurts him and causes him to lose coins. They are classified as heavy enemies, so Wario's speed and jumping distance will decrease when he picks one up and carries it around. Apart from that, Grunts can be defeated as other enemies in the game. Grunts act similarly to Pecans.
