Description
"It's bright! Oh, so bright!"'
First appearance Paper Mario: Sticker Star (2012)
“This compact lighthouse is designed to be mobile, but the fact that it points straight up when installed would lead to many a naval disaster.”
Sticker Museum plaque, Paper Mario: Sticker Star

The Flashlight (known as the Torch in the British English version) is a Thing in Paper Mario: Sticker Star. It is found behind the Secret Door in Whiteout Valley. Once collected, it remains in Mario's Album until it is turned into a Sticker at a Sling-a-Thing station. Once it has been used as a sticker, it returns to its original position. It can also be purchased from the Shady Toad for 120 Coins.

The Flashlight is a medium-sized sticker, taking up 1.5×1.5 squares in Mario's album. If and when it is used in battle, it appears onscreen, directing a powerful beam of light toward the enemies. This inflicts minor damage and may cause the Dizzy status effect for a few turns. The player may press A Button as the screen grows brighter to increase the damage dealt.

The Flashlight can also be placed into the Sticker Museum as #24, a light-based Thing, alongside the Lightbulb and Searchlight. Its museum description identifies it as a compact lighthouse deemed risky due to only pointing upward when put in place.
