Description
"A monster used in cars. It's designed to charge WHILE you're driving! Genius!"
First appearance Paper Mario: Sticker Star (2012)
“Inside this device sleeps a power no Toad could hope to control. In fact, you’d probably better step back a bit. Maybe a little farther.”
Sticker Museum plaque, Paper Mario: Sticker Star

The Car Battery is a Thing in Paper Mario: Sticker Star. It is found behind the Secret Door in Drybake Desert. It remains in Mario's Album until it is turned into a Sticker at a Sling-a-Thing station. Once it has been used as a sticker, it returns to its original position. It can also be purchased from the Shady Toad for 200 Coins.

The car battery is a large sticker, taking up four squares in Mario's album. If and when it is used in battle, as with the Watch Battery and D-Cell Battery, church bells ring as a dark and stormy background appears. The Car Battery is revealed in the background, shaking frantically before sending out powerful lightning aimed at the enemies. This causes each of them to take damage and possibly be defeated. The damage is increased if the player presses A Button as the lightning strikes.

The car battery may also be placed into the Sticker Museum as #28, alongside the other electric-based Things. As the largest and most powerful of the three electrical Things, both descriptions note its unfathomable power - in fact, the museum description appears to be warning Mario to step away from the display.
