|"It's a heavy, square metal container. Probably makes an amazing din when hit with a piece of cutlery."|
|First appearance||Paper Mario: Sticker Star (2012)|
- “This metal container could have been useful for anything, but leading scholars believe it was almost certainly slept on by a cat at some point.”
- —Sticker Museum plaque, Paper Mario: Sticker Star
The Square Can is a Thing in Paper Mario: Sticker Star. It is found behind the Secret Door in Stump Glade. The outline of said Secret Door is found in the staff room of Snifit or Whiffit. After it is applied, Mario is able to simply enter the room and collect the can. It remains in Mario's Album until it is turned into a Sticker at a Sling-a-Thing station. Once it has been used as a sticker, it returns to its original position. It can also be purchased from the Shady Toad for 170 Coins.
The Square Can is a small sticker, taking up only one square in Mario's album. If and when it is used in battle, the battlefield darkens. Mario's head tilts up to the sky as a silhouette appears over the first enemy in line. After a few seconds, the can comes crashing down to inflict some damage. The player is able to press as it comes into contact with the enemy to deal extra damage. Unlike the other crushing Things, the Square Can only deals damage to one enemy.
The Square Can may also be placed into the Sticker Museum as #20, alongside the other "crush"-related Things. Both descriptions note its infinite and generic possibilities, as well as attracting cats due to its silvery shine.
