Rhythm Keeper is 1-4 player minigame in Donkey Konga 2.

Overview[edit]

Donkey Kong must memorize the Rhythm Guide as it plays, and then repeat the notes for several repetitions without being able to see them. Cranky Kong tells the player which stage they are on and the number of times the notes must be repeated. There are ten stages in total, with the player having three lives on each stage. The final stage lasts indefinitely until the player loses all of their lives, and losing all three lives on any stage ends the minigame. Minute Waltz plays between each stage.

In Vs. Rhythm Keeper, up to four players can play. Each stage lasts indefinitely until a player loses all of their lives, with a maximum of three stages. The minigame ends when there is only one player remaining.

The top three high scores can be viewed in the Music Lab, and the player must select a badge to go with their score. High scores are not recorded for Vs. Rhythm Keeper.

If the player earns at least 100 points, they are able to play Match That Badge. In Vs. Rhythm Keeper, the winning player gets two chances at Match That Badge.
