Third Course is the third level of the Coin Challenge Pack C in New Super Mario Bros. 2, as well as the twenty-first DLC level in the game.
Layout[edit]
The level begins with a Warp Pipe leading to a shaft with a segmented platform. Mario must keep going down while avoiding the volcanic debris coming his way. After the Checkpoint Flag, Mario must go up a second shaft while avoiding more volcanic debris, as well as hitting a few POW Blocks along the way with either a Super Leaf or a Gold Flower. The path eventually leads directly to the Goal Pole.
Star Coins[edit]
- Star Coin 1: Found in plain sight on the way down the first shaft. Mario can reach it by destroying the surrounding Brick Blocks with a Gold Flower, or by hitting the POW Block below the Star Coin.
- Star Coin 2: At the bottom of the first shaft, when the segmented platform begins to go right, the Star Coin can be seen against the far left wall. Mario must quickly jump over to it, and then wall-jump to get back on the segmented platform before he falls in the lava.
- Star Coin 3: In the second shaft, going up, the path very briefly splits into two sides. Mario must stay on the left, where the Star Coin will appear next to the wall.
