World 2-The Icon of a Airship from New Super Mario Bros. Wii.Airship is the Airship course of World 2 and the first one in Super Mario 3D Land. It was the last selectable course in the original E3 2011 demo, where the Boom Boom boss battle used Peewee Piranha's theme (which was also Rollodillo, Sorbetti, and Prince Pikante's theme) from Super Mario Galaxy 2 as the music.

Layout[edit]

Many Bullet Bills

Mario starts out landing on an Airship, near three Rocket Engines and a tightrope that connects it to another Airship. A little further beyond, there is a flying Bill Blaster that shoots Bullet Bills toward the rope. On the next ship, there are three Bill Blasters and a Warp Box; following that is a third Airship with a Rocky Wrench. The flying Bill Blaster following this ship shoots Tail Bullet Bills. On the fourth and final Airship, Mario must enter a Warp Pipe to battle Boom Boom. After defeating him, another Warp Pipe will appear, leading Mario to the Airship with the Goal Pole.

Star Medals[edit]

  • Star Medal 1: Mario must enter the Warp Box, and then find a small elevated area on the Airship with a blue + Clock and a Star Medal.
  • Star Medal 2: The second Star Medal sits above the Rocky Wrench on the third Airship, which can provide the boost needed to collect it.
  • Star Medal 3: Once on the last ship, Mario must fall down to a lower area with several coins and the third Star Medal.
