Metal Detectors is a 4-Player coin-collecting minigame appearing in Super Mario Party. Its name refers to electronic devices used to search for metal objects in the ground.

In this minigame, players must dig up areas as determined by the intensity of the Joy-Con's rumbles. If a player hits a Pokey, they will lose three coins. The minigame ends once 30 seconds have passed. When the minigame ends, any spots with coins that the players did not dig up glow.
