World 5-4 is the fourth level of World 5 in New Super Mario Bros. It is accessed upon completing World 5-
Ghost House, and completing this level unlocks World 5-
Castle.
Layout[edit]
This level is an auto-scrolling level that contains a new kind of Mushroom Platform. The yellow mushrooms will move down when Mario steps on them, and the red mushrooms will move up. Also, Bullet Bills will try to attack Mario throughout the level. The player can find a Red Ring in this level. Mario can get the first Star Coin by simply jumping onto it. The second Star Coin, right next to the first one, can be obtained by either using a Mini Mushroom and by going through the small gap, or by quickly running to the other side and getting it. The last Star Coin can be found by going past a mushroom moving up. After Mario goes past a series of more mushrooms, he will reach the pole.
Star Coins[edit]
- Star Coin 1 - After going through most of the level, this Star Coin can easily be obtained by jumping on the platform it appears on.
- Star Coin 2 - Located right next to the first Star Coin, Mario should either use a Mini Mushroom and go through the small opening or quickly run under the platform on the mushrooms and to the side with the Star Coin. It can also be collected by throwing a nearby Koopa Troopa shell into it.
- Star Coin 3 - After another set of mushrooms, there is a lone red mushroom. Mario should quickly run onto it and try getting onto the middle platform. There is also a small opening on the bottom, which is actually two Invisible Blocks.
