Number Crunchers is a 1-vs.-3 Mic minigame in Mario Party 7. Its name originally refers to people or computers that manipulate large amounts of numerical data.

Introduction[edit]

The game is set in a lava pit. The team of three is standing on pillars. The solo player speaks into the microphone, causing several Thwomps to fall.

Gameplay[edit]

The solo player can call out commands by speaking into the Mic. If there is no Mic, the commands are selected from a blue box. These commands are "1," "2," "3," "Circle," and "Square." The "1" command causes Thwomps to slam onto all pillars with the number one on them, the "Circle" command causes Thwomps to slam onto circular pillars, and so forth. There are three pillars for each number. Of these nine pillars, four are circles and five are squares. The other three players must avoid being crushed by the Thwomps and falling into the lava. A player is eliminated if a Thwomp crushes them or they fall into the lava. The solo player wins if they eliminate the other three players. The team players win if at least one of them survives until time runs out.
