Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games is the follow-up to Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games. This is the second collaboration with Nintendo and Sega under license from the International Olympic Committee (to correspond with the Vancouver Winter Olympics, scheduled for 2010). Like their previous installment, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games will be developed for both the Wii and DS it scheduled to be released in late 2009. Major details for this game are still currently unknown at this time, however it has been confirmed that the Wii version will use the Wii Remote controls, as well as the Wii Balance Board.

Additionally, like last time, Sega will handle publishing/marketing duties for territories outside of Japan, while Nintendo will handle publishing/marketing duties for Japan itself.
