Is Manager Joe really his name? I was thinking he was Gelato Joe in Mega Microgame$ (but I haven't played this, I just read something that implied that he was Gelato Joe), and I know he's Pizza Joe in Twisted. Where has he been called Manager Joe? YELLOWYOSHI398

He's named as such in the ending of WarioWare: Smooth Moves, the most recent WarioWare game: YouTube video (around 05:25). --Grandy02 13:09, 24 May 2008 (EDT)

Rename to Joe[edit]

rename 13-0
Yes, he is called "Manager Joe" once, but the fact can't be ignored that he has been given multiple aliases throughout the years, including "Pizza Joe" in WarioWare: Touched! and "Editor Joe" in Game & Wario. He's even referred to as plain "Joe" in WarioWare Gold, which already justifies a rename.

And also since this Joe is more prominent that the Mario Golf series character, that page will be renamed to Joe (Mario Golf series).

Comments[edit]

Technically, he seems to be a manager regardless of occupation, as he is Mona's boss for most jobs. That being said, I'm not opposing this by any means. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 06:45, 4 March 2019 (EST)

Priority[edit]

I question why the recurring minor supporting character from a Wario-branded series has priority for the name "Joe" over a three-time playable character from a Mario-branded series. Shouldn't they both have identifiers? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 17:04, September 28, 2023 (EDT)

Probably because the Mario Golf Joe is a really obscure character who has appeared in like two Golf games whereas this Joe has appeared in WarioWare games with a semi-major role. PrincessPeachFan (talk) 13:06, October 2, 2023 (EDT)
The Mario Golf Joe was one of the four main characters in one of the games, a hidden transfer character in another, and a standard unlockable character in another, being playable each time. The dog guy has never had any role other than "satellite non-player supporting character to Mona," so I don't see how it's more "major" other than appearing more recently. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 15:06, October 2, 2023 (EDT)
The naming priority policy doesn't say that priority is given to the more "major" subject, but rather the "clearly more popular" and "likely to be linked to or searched for", which would probably apply to WarioWare Joe seeing as he's appeared more recently and more often. Um, why was the page suddenly moved with no consensus? Hewer (talk · contributions · edit count) 02:53, December 4, 2023 (EST)
Because I thought the proposal had passed. Sorry about that. This time, I'll start over with a proposal. GuntherBayBeee.jpgGuntherBayBeeeGravity Rush Kat.png 12:12, December 28, 2023 (EST)
Why would we have to move the page if it has both a redirection section, disambiguation, and the page itself automatically redirects to “Joe” anyway??
