Star 2 is the second level of the Star World in Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge. It is unlocked after clearing Star 1 and collecting 20 amiibo Tokens. Any of the Mini Toys can be used in this level.

Overview

The Goal Door is on the right side of the level, below some rocks and Piranha Plants. To reach it, the player must tap the Mini so it can collect five Red Girder pieces, then tap the Bouncy Mushroom below the Mini and the one above and to its right to bounce the Mini into a Barrel Cannon rotating 90 degrees. When the Barrel Cannon points up, the player should draw a Red Girder near the vertical Bouncy Mushroom and fire the cannon, then tap the Bouncy Mushroom to send the Mini to a horizontal Bouncy Mushroom on the right. They must then draw a Red Girder above the mushroom and tap it so the Mini lands on the girder, then once it steps on the Bouncy Mushroom on this level, tap it to bounce the Mini into a Barrel Cannon rotating 360 degrees. The player should fire the Barrel Cannon once it points right, then immediately tap the Bouncy Mushroom in the top right to send the Mini into a static Barrel Cannon. Tapping this one fires the Mini through some rocks to the vertical Bouncy Mushroom in the top left, which the player should tap to bounce the Mini into a pair of Hammers. It will swing the Hammers to defeat some Piranha Plants as it proceeds to the Goal Door, completing the level.

amiibo Tokens

The first Golden amiibo Token must be obtained using Mini Mario and his Wall Jump ability. It is below the vertical yellow Warp Pipe at the bottom of the level. The player should follow the route to the Goal Door, but after tapping the first vertical Bouncy Mushroom, they must draw a Red Girder above the vertical red pipe and let Mini Mario fall onto the girder. He will then fall to a Bouncy Mushroom below, which the player should tap to bounce him to the mushroom to the right; they must draw a Red Girder below the mushroom they just tapped. When Mini Mario reaches the wall on the right, he Wall Jumps and falls onto the girder below; once he reaches the wall to the left of the yellow pipe, he Wall Jumps into the amiibo Token and enters the pipe.

The second Golden amiibo Token must be obtained using Mini Luigi and his High Jump ability. It is to the left of the vertical red Warp Pipe, below a group of four rocks. The player should follow the route to the Goal Door, but after firing Mini Luigi out of the first Barrel Cannon, they must draw a Red Girder to the right of the red pipe in the top left so he can High Jump into it. After he exits the pipe and he falls to the level below, the player should tap the Bouncy Mushroom on the ledge and the one to the right to bounce Mini Luigi into a Barrel Cannon. They must draw a Red Girder in front of the spikes on the left and fire Mini Luigi out of the Barrel Cannon, then tap the Bouncy Mushroom to the right of the first Barrel Cannon and repeat the process to get him into the red pipe. As he exits the pipe for the second time, Mini Luigi will fall into the amiibo Token.
