Star 3 is the third level of the Star World in Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge. It is unlocked after clearing Star 2 and collecting 40 amiibo Tokens. Any of the Mini Toys can be used in this level.

Overview

The Goal Door is at the top of the level, behind some blocks. To reach it, the player must remove the candles near the Mini and place it in the slots near the long column of rocks, then tap the Mini so it can land in the Blast Barrel to its right and get fired into a rotating Barrel Cannon. When the Barrel Cannon points right, the player should tap it to blast through a transparent Boo to another Barrel Cannon rotating 360 degrees; tapping this one when it points right fires the Mini through some rocks to a Blast Barrel. As the Mini fires out of the Blast Barrel, it takes out two Piranha Plants and lands in a Barrel Cannon near the top right moving 90 degrees; the player must tap it when it points left and the nearby row of four Boos has moved out of the way to send the Mini to a static cannon, then tap this one to blast the Mini through the long rock column and land in a cannon rotating 180 degrees. They should then remove the candle near the rightmost Blast Barrel and place it in the bottom right space, then fire the Barrel Cannon once it points right so the Mini lands in the static cannon near the candle. Tapping this cannon fires the Mini to another moving up and down in the top right; they should tap this one when it lines up with the space between the two rows of Boos so the Mini can be blasted to the Goal Door, completing the level.

amiibo Tokens

The first Golden amiibo Token must be obtained using Mini Yoshi and his Eat Enemies ability. It is behind a Piranha Plant at the top left of the level. The player should remove the candles near the Mini and the upside-down T formation on the left and place them in the bottom left space and the space below the column of 12 rocks, then tap Mini Yoshi. Once he lands in the first Barrel Cannon, the player should tap it when it points to the bottom left so Mini Yoshi lands on four blocks, then remove the candle so he falls into the rotating Barrel Cannon below. They must tap the cannon once it points to the left to fire Mini Yoshi to a cannon below the other candle, then tap this one to blast him through some rocks to some steps in the top left. After Mini Yoshi climbs the steps and eats a Piranha Plant, the player must place a candle near the two Fire Piranha Plants; Mini Yoshi will cross some blocks before eating another Piranha Plant and collecting the amiibo Token.

The second Golden amiibo Token must be obtained using Mini Rosalina and her Lunar Launch ability. It is on a ledge above the upside-down T formation. The player should follow the route to the Goal Door, but after landing in the Barrel Cannon below the long rock column, they must place two candles in the bottom right space and the space near the rightmost Blast Barrel. After touching the Barrel Cannon when it points right, the player should tap the bottom right Barrel Cannon so Mini Rosalina hits the blocks and walks to the right, using her Lunar Launch when she touches the wall to enter a cannon rotating 90 degrees. They must tap this Barrel Cannon when it points left to fire her to another Barrel Cannon, then place a candle in the space near the upside-down T formation and tap the cannon. When she touches the block wall, Mini Rosalina uses her Lunar Launch, then walks into the amiibo Token.
