Star 5 is the fifth level of the Star World in Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge. It is unlocked after clearing Star 4 and collecting 80 amiibo Tokens. Any of the Mini Toys can be used in this level.

Overview

The Goal Door is near the bottom right of the level. To reach it, the player must tap the Boost Pad below the Mini to reverse it, then remove the candle to its left so the Mini can run across some blocks to the Movable Pipe below. Once the Mini exits the other Movable Pipe, they should tap the Boost Pads to the right so the Mini can run up and left back into the first Movable Pipe, then place the other Movable Pipe above the top two Boost Pads that the Mini ran across and reverse their direction. The player should then place the two Movable Pipes in the horizontal spaces near the middle and a candle above the bottom pipe. This allows the Mini to run to the right, turn around, and enter the bottom pipe. The player should then tap the Boost Pads so after the Mini exits the top pipe, it scales some blocks and runs up and to the right before landing on top of said pipe. The player must remove the two pipes after the Mini gets off and place one in the vertical space to the left of the horizontal red Warp Pipe and the other in the topmost space on the right, then after the Mini travels through the pipe, remove the pipe the Mini exited and allow it to turn to the right before placing it back. Once the Mini exits the pipe again, they should place one candle to the right and below this pipe and another in the space to the left of the diagonal row of three Boos to allow the Mini to climb up some blocks, then place a candle in the space near the two Boos in the top right to stun them. After this, the player should tap the three Boost Pads on the right so the Mini can run to the Goal Door and complete the level.

amiibo Tokens

The first Golden amiibo Token must be obtained using Mini Diddy Kong and his Ledge Grab ability. It is to the right of the top red Warp Pipe. The player should follow the route to the Goal Door, but before Mini Diddy Kong lands on the Movable Pipe after running up and to the right, they should remove the pipe and place a candle in the space below and to the left of the bottom red pipe. After walking off the blocks he lands on, Mini Diddy Kong falls again before Ledge Grabbing the blocks to his right and entering the red pipe; he exits into the amiibo Token.

The second Golden amiibo Token must be obtained using Mini Bowser Jr. and his Spike Guard ability. It is to the left of and below the top purple Warp Pipe. The player should tap the Boost Pad below Mini Bowser Jr. and remove both the candle below him and the Movable Pipe to the right of the blocks; once Mini Bowser Jr. reaches the space the pipe was in and turns around, they must remove the candle above the spikes so he can land on them, then place it back so he can walk past the Boo and into the purple pipe on the left. After he exits, Mini Bowser Jr. falls into the amiibo Token.
