Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge levels

Level 1, also known as the tutorial level,[1] is the first main level featured in Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge. As such, it introduces the game's basic mechanics of manipulating the environment to guide the Mini Toy, through the first major interactive object of Red Girders. It also serves to introduce the player to the special ability of each Mini Toy, and does this by having a different layout for each Mini Toy in the game that requires its special ability to complete. Mini Spek has its own layout, so it can complete the level in spite of not having a special ability. Level 1 does not have any amiibo Tokens.

Scanning an amiibo to use a Mini Toy that is not Mini Spek prompts players on if they want to play this level.

Overview[edit]

Mini Spek[edit]

Mini Spek starts out on the left side of the level, with the goal door being on the top right. In order to reach the door, the player must first remove the vertical Red Girder directly in front of Mini Spek, then form a bridge over a pit with a horizontal Red Girder. Mini Spek will approach a square of Red Girder Rivets over a pit, which has a Red Girder spanning from the bottom left to the top left and the bottom left to the bottom right. The player has to remove the Red Girder spanning from the bottom left to the top left because it is a wall, and then draw a Red Girder from the bottom left Rivet to the top right Rivet to create a ramp that allows Mini Spek reach the goal door.

Mini Mario[edit]

Mini Mario starts out on the left side of the level, with the goal door being on the top right. In order to reach the door, the player must remove the first vertical Red Girder that is right next to Mini Mario. The player must draw in the first horizontal Red Girder and the top vertical Red Girder. Mini Mario will Wall Jump up and fall down to the lower level. The player must then remove the fourth vertical Red Girder and draw in the top Red Girder at the end of the level. This will allow Mini Mario to Wall Jump up to the goal door.
