Porygon2 is a Normal-type Pokémon that first appeared in Pokémon Red and Blue. It evolves from Porygon when it is traded with an Up-Grade (starting at Generation II) and evolves to Porygon-Z when it is traded with a Dubious Disc (starting at Generation IV). In Super Smash Bros. Melee, it has a chance of being summoned from a Poké Ball and attacks by using Tackle; as soon as it is spawned, it dashes a short distance horizontally before disappearing, dealing moderate damage and a huge amount of knockback (in the opposite direction of Porygon2's tackle) to any opponents caught by it.
