Template:Distinguish2

This article is about the character that appears in Super Smash Bros. Melee. For the metal form of Luigi, see Metal Mario.

Template:SSB-infobox Metal Luigi is the metal counterpart to Luigi. In Super Smash Bros. Melee, Metal Luigi is one of the game's mid-bosses encountered before the final boss, Bowser. He appears in Adventure Mode, alongside Metal Mario. Once the player has unlocked Luigi, Metal Luigi will appear in the battle, teaming up with Metal Mario against the player. Like Mario's metal counterpart, Metal Luigi is heavier than the regular Luigi and uses the same moves. Additionally, players can pick up the Metal Box item, turning themselves into metal forms, boasting the same attributes as Metal Luigi and Metal Mario. KOing both the metal brothers in Adventure Mode awards the player 8000 points.

While the character of Metal Luigi does not appear in later Smash Bros. games, Luigi can become a Metal form if he picks up a Metal Box or is playing using the option in Special Smash. A metal form of Luigi can also appear as an opponent in Classic modes.
