List of power-ups

Template:Articleabout Power-Ups give special abilities to the character receiving the power-up. Most of the abilities include changing the character's size and giving them the power to fly. Below are lists of different power-ups found in the game of their first appearance.

Super Mario Bros.

File:SMBFireFlower.gif	Fire Flower	Lets Mario or Luigi shoot fireballs.
	Star	Makes Mario or Luigi temporarily invincible but lasts a short time.
File:SMB Supermushroom.svg	Super Mushroom	Makes Small Mario or Small Luigi grow to their normal size, allows them to break bricks.
File:SMB 1-upmushroom.svg	1-Up Mushroom	Gives Mario or Luigi (Any one) an extra life.

Super Mario Bros. 3

Photo	Item	Effect
	Frog Suit	Allows Mario or Luigi to swim faster and in any direction and allows them to jump higher.
File:Kuribo Shoe.png	Goomba's Shoe (also known as Kuribo's Shoe)	Allows Mario or Luigi to walk on spikes and jump higher.
	Hammer Suit	Allows Mario or Luigi to throw hammers.
File:SuperLeaf SMB3.png	Super Leaf	Gives Mario or Luigi the ability of flight and a tail attack.
	Tanooki Suit	Allows Mario or Luigi to Fly, turn into an invulnerable statue, and a tail attack.
	P-Wing	Similar to the Super Leaf, but allows Mario or Luigi to fly for the entire level.

	Cape Feather	Slows Mario or Luigi's descent from the air, can fly, damages enemies around while Spin Jumping.

Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time

	Ice Flower	Allows Mario and Luigi to throw ice balls.
	Copy Flower	Creates clones of the Mario Bros. and baby Mario Bros.
	Mix Flower	Allows all the bros. to throw fireballs to form a giant one.

	Blue Koopa Shell	Lets Mario or Luigi slide as a shell, or hide to become invulnerable, and swim faster.

	Bee Mushroom	Allows Mario and Luigi to fly and stick to honeycombs.

	Rainbow Star	Makes Mario and Luigi temporarily invincible.
	Red Star	Allows Mario and Luigi to fly.
	Spring Mushroom	Gives Mario and Luigi the power to jump higher.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii

	Penguin Suit	Allow Mario, Luigi or the Toads to slide on their belly, shoot iceballs, and swim better. Also it allows the character to have webbed feet so they don't slide when they're on ice.
File:Propeller Mushroom.png	Propeller Mushroom	Allow Mario, Luigi or the Toads to fly through the air and drill into the ground.

Super Mario Galaxy 2

File:SMG2 RockMushroom.JPG	Rock Mushroom	Mario or Luigi can turn into Rock Mario or Rock Luigi, which can destroy enemies and objects when rolling.
	Cloud Flower	Mario or Luigi transforms into Cloud Mario or Cloud Luigi, enabling him to create 3 cloud platforms.
	Dash Pepper	Yoshi turns into Dash Yoshi, temporarily causing Yoshi to dash at very high speeds.
File:Transform nav light active.png	Bulb Berry	Yoshi turns into Bulb Yoshi, temporarily allowing Yoshi to reveal and stand on platforms that otherwise would not be there.
File:Transform nav balloon active.png	Blimp Fruit	Yoshi turns into Blimp Yoshi, temporarily causing Yoshi to puff up and float.

Super Mario 3D Land

File:Invincibility Leaf.PNG	Invincibility Leaf	Mario or Luigi transform into White Tanooki Mario or White Tanooki Luigi, which grant them all the powers of the Super Leaf as well as unlimited invinciblility.
	Statue Leaf	Mario or Luigi are given the ability to float for a short time, turn into Statue Mario or Statue Luigi, and tail attack.
