The Paper Fan is a Thing in Paper Mario: Sticker Star. It is a traditional festival uchiwa fan, with the kanji for "festival" (祭, matsuri) printed on it. It is found behind the Secret Door in Yoshi Sphinx. Once collected, they remain in Mario's Album until they are turned into a sticker at a Sling-a-Thing station. Once they have been used as a sticker, they return to their original position. They can also be purchased from the Shady Toad for 120 Coins.
The Paper Fan is a medium sticker, taking up two and a half squares in Mario's album. If they are used in battle, two paper fans appear and proceed to quickly sway back and forth, whipping up a whirlwind that blows enemies away and sends them back down to damage them. The player may mash as the wind picks up to increase this amount.
The Paper Fan can also be placed into the Sticker Museum as #6, alongside the other wind-based Things. Its basic description refers to it as an environmentally-friendly air conditioner, while their museum description likens it to a spatula.
