RE: MK8DX Driver Stats / Talk page archive editing[edit]

No, once it's archived, it can't be edited unless it's for maintenance like fixing links (and what's done is done; there's no real point to go back and fix years-old mistakes or typos).

Also, I didn't notice the speed and handling stats were the same for every character (previously they were thought to be different, which is why those stats were split), so I'll remove those on the Cat Mario page. Wolf Link costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 01:24, February 9, 2026 (UTC)

Thanks! Also just wondering but are you allowed to add some discussions to your most recent archive. So let's say I add my first four discussions here into that archive. Would that be allowed? Yellow Yoshi from Mario Kart Tour Yoshi18 (talk/contribs) 14:43, February 9, 2026 (UTC)

Media missing placement[edit]

Media missing notices should be placed within sections, as these notices are meant to make identifying sections that need to be improved easier, and section organization helps with tracking missing media. Additionally, as the articles for "King of the Koopas" and "Bonus Game BGM" already have media, placing an "all arrangements" media missing notice is incorrect. Additionally, construction notices do not need to be added unless the article is being actively worked on. B700465189a9 (talk) 18:41, February 26, 2026 (UTC)

@B700465189a9, I understand the {{media missing}} template reminder but I feel like the {{construction}} template still needs to be added to those pages to spread awareness. I know a couple construction that also aren't actively worked on, yet they still use the {{construction}} template. RE: Portmanteau as foreign name meanings[edit]

The explanation is the meaning. I don't see why it needs to be moved to small text in notes. Personally, I'm not keen on the idea of forming the names ourselves since there may not be one set way to form them (take the "Tubirinto Piranha" example: it can either be "Piperinth" or "Pipeyrinth"); I think it's better to explain the etymology and let the readers come to that conclusion themselves. Alright I get what you mean, but in the case you know a languange really well or it's your native language, and you know absolutely what the portmanteau would be in English (like "Kleurboarden", which would be "Colorboarding" (and nothing else) in English), would it really be that bad to add the translated portmanteau as meaning, but only if you're very sure that that is what the portmanteau would be in English, if it's your native language, or it's just self-explanatory (as example, like you said, for a portmanteau of pipe and labyrinth, it's unknown whether it would be "Pipeyrinth", "Piperinth" or "Pipyrinth", but for a portmanteau of color and skateboarding, it's self-explanatory that color replaces skate in skateboarding and that the portmanteau would be "Colorboarding")?
