RE: Trivia

It's not that trivia is outlawed on the wiki, it's just where possible we do try to incorporate trivia into the main body of the article. I do apologise if my summary came off bad or rude towards you. Personally, I felt the Super Mario RPG part fitted well in the intro, hence why I thought it should stay there. Shiny enemies

We don't necessarily need a monolithic, set-in-stone policy page to decide how things work; a policy page won't be able to cover every single nuance in the games, especially as the franchise comes up with new ideas and throws new gimmicks at us. At the same time, through proposals like these, we can create a precedent that can then be followed for future articles. Proposals give us freedom that a policy page may not give us. With that in mind, we've already had proposals that decided to not merge the Gritty Goombas and not merge the "R" version of enemies, so I don't see why this should be any different. I used this website to create the picrosses. Once they're generated, I used Snipping Tool to get a picture of them, and then I cropped and recoloured them in paint.NET. Sometimes the website makes mistakes when generating the puzzle, so I had to check over them to make sure the answer and the puzzle match up. If not, I just edit the numbers to make it match. Your entire application is sent through a forum PM, as well as future submissions, so you can just submit your images in the same PM making a note of which image is which and things like that. For example, when I first applied I had my image I wanted in standard coding, and provided image links and/or the image itself outside the demo portion of the application but within the same PM. Rocky Wrench

Currently, Rocky Wrench is said to be a derivative of Monty Mole. Since we don't separate "versions" of these, this is saying that the mole and turtle are related. However, it is also saying that Rocky Wrench is based off of an enemy that wouldn't appear for four years, which makes no sense. I'm trying to rectify that. Wario's mother section on List of implied characters

Question does this piece of info that appears on the Wario's mother section of the List of implied characters article actually appear within Wario's Warehouse "Wario's Warehouse also states that Wario's mother perceives her son as so goofy that she never threw him a birthday party. Consequently, Wario does not know his age."

A very cursory search yields no results for "party" or "birthday", and "age" doesn't result in anything useful. This might be a fib, though admittedly, we're not the ones to ask on this, however--we're not exactly a massive authority on the Deep Wario's Warehouse Lore, and there's a very real chance we missed something in our cursory searches. We could confirm that the "he stole from his mom" line is 100% true however; just the first sentence of the Sonic Adventure 2: Battle section. ~Camwoodstock (talk) 11:57, January 28, 2024 (EST)

In regards to the Smash category proposal

Phew, finally free from that pink ape... Thanks for saving me! I saw your suggestion on splitting the Alien (Club Nintendo) entry on MarioWiki:BJAODN/Characters into its own article as a cautionary tale, and I wholeheartedly agree with doing that!

I've copied the entry in question to my sandbox, but I'd like to expand on this idea of yours before I think about launching this page. Regardless of infamy, I personally consider MarioWiki:BJAODN/In the Clouds too short to have its own page and may (don't count on it) start a proposal to merge it to the Locations subpage. Enacting proposal

I've been helping to enact your proposal for you. Many things are tagged for deletion, but hopefully this will help clear up to everyone what will be "pruned" from the wiki and what won't. Assist Trophy and Final Smash pages now have only Super Mario content, and the list pages have all of the Smash Bros. content (plus, I updated all of the redirects to the list pages accordingly). Listen, we're tired, so maybe we're just misunderstanding, but if we have things right, uh, we might have a problem. The proposal was specifically about the categories listed in the proposal, and specifically, removing the various redirect articles from those categories (e.g. removing the Bonus Fruit redirect link from the Category:Pac-Man series category) or, in the case of some categories that were either majority or all redirects, wiping the category clean (e.g. removing all of the instances of the Category:Fatal Fury series category and, by proxy, wiping its description as it no longer has a use). To state this in clearer terms--no articles should be deleted, so at least that's true. However, the categories mentioned as exceptions in that Proposal (Duck Hunt, Fire Emblem, Metroid, Kid Icarus, Pikmin, Punch-Out!!, Star Fox, Animal Crossing, Dragon Quest, Game & Watch, Final Fantasy, Ice Climber, The Legend of Zelda, Pac-Man, Rhythm Heaven, Sonic the Hedgehog, Splatoon, and Street Fighter) should've had all the redirects/disambiguations in them lose the Series categories, while all the redirects within the categories that were not exceptions (so, every other Category mentioned in the proposal's opening that wasn't a part of that list) should've had all articles that mention its category lose the category, and wipe the now-orphaned category description. The Final Smash and Assist Trophy articles were not mentioned in the proposal, thus, they shouldn't have been touched at all--not yet, anyways. ~Camwoodstock (talk) 20:18, April 12, 2024 (EDT)
