If it's something particularly urgent, we'd generally suggest messaging us via the Discord, as we're usually able to respond quicker that way; if not, no worries, just don't expect the fastest reply. If you're here to coordinate an editing project, or need a bit more in-depth clarification on something, though, we'd very much suggest sending that here!
love ur knowledge[edit]
Just want to say I love your knowledge on games and characters. Sincerely, Donald Trump
RE: Wikitable Class[edit]
Hi, I'm sorry for the trouble. I am now aware of the problem and it won't happen in the future. --Mid188 (talk) 14:36, November 6, 2025 (EST)
Wariowarefan100[edit]
Wariowarefan100's first edit following the end of his block was a malformed proposal creation despite several informal reminders, three official user notices, a 2-week block, and even an apology all relating to malformed proposal creations or other misused features like name changes and appeals. Personally, I feel like his "apology" was just an attempt to get himself unblocked, seeing as how he not-only copy-pasted the block summary, but his first edit following his block was what gave him the notices in the first place.
The proposal in question was a follow-up to his staff appointment proposal, and if I'm honest, I kind of feel like he's only doing this so he could get promoted. Why? Because he previously made a request for patroller, and despite that request being met with how he could become a staff member (and how I pointed that out in both my vote and warning), he still made that proposal (looking at his past history also reminded me that he un-vetoed a proposal outside of your last warning's scope).
I was going to post this on the Staff noticeboard, but I was a bit unsure on whether he should be blocked again, as even though the blocking policy made it clear that he shouldn't receive any more warnings following his {{last warning}}, I am not sure if violating any policy past a last warning, regardless of its level, is grounds for an admin noticeboard placement. I figured to contact you as you gave him the last warning and block. Should he be blocked again? Altendo 15:00, November 7, 2025 (EST)
- I was contemplating the block after I vetoed the proposal, but I thought it might be too soon to impose another one fresh off of being unblocked because this user creating another proposal (without obvious formatting issues that were plaguing their past attempts; if that was the issue I would've imposed another block) was the only thing they did after being unblocked (as well as adding an inappropriate talk page template to their userpage). It's clear to me this user doesn't learn and should stay off proposal grounds like they were told several times, though!
Mario-HOHO! (Talk / Stalk) 15:27, November 7, 2025 (EST) - Seconding Mario's notions. It's a bit too early to call for an outright block, but we're definitely keeping an eye on them.

Russian Boo name[edit]
When I looked at the video, I believed that it was an official Nintendo channel. I take it I was incorrect? Sorry about that, then. AmossGuy (talk) 19:15, November 10, 2025 (EST)
- ...Having looked a bit into it, we have our skepticism towards the channel. There is a seemingly equivalent channel for the United Kingdom, however, the Russian equivalent seems to be fan-run. It confidently links a Russian Nintendo Twitter account that has never posted and is not verified, links to a Russian YouTube account that seems to be owned by Some Guy, and a Russian Nintendo site that Firefox actually warned us might be malicious. It doesn't feel like this is link rot, either, as the "NintendoRussia" YouTube channel hasn't ever deviated from what it presently is.

- The Russian YouTube channel was created and supported by Nintendo of Europe GmbH, much like the ones they hosted in Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. It is not fan ran.
- Nintendo pulled its Russian websites shortly after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and this has fragmented older sources of information. However, Nintendo officially did have a robust marketing presence directed towards Russian players, and this YouTube channel is one of the few ones that remains relatively accessible. This YouTube channel is as old as its European counterparts that do link to other channels (which are also viewable in these references), had videos published on the same schedule, and the descriptions in these videos are identical or only slightly modified from the ones provided in-game in the Russian localization of New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, which can be accessed in its entirety here. (Also, just like the YouTube videos themselves, the videos within New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe are also of the English version of the game). If this YouTube channel was not official, the fact that the descriptions are identical for most of these videos is an extraordinary coincidence. - Nintendo101 (talk) 23:14, November 10, 2025 (EST)
- Agh, didn't even think to factor the whole "pulling of Russian promotional stuff after the Ukraine invasion" thing in. Weird how what's left functions like that, but, at least that explains a lot of what we were seeing. We guess it's safe to instate, but, uh, that thing's volatile, so it's probably a good idea to find an alternative sooner, rather than later. Sorry for the confusion there!

Korean "64"[edit]
The reason of why I adopted "yuksipsa" (육십사) as the Korean reading for "64" in N64 and all its games is because the YouTube video that I found and used as info source, where the speaking person in there pronounce the number like that for both the console and Super Mario 64, that also appears in the video, so I assumed "yuksipsa" worths for every case where the number is repeated.
I hope this can explain the desicion I took for that. User:SmashFan/sig 7:43 p.m., November 21, 2025 (UTC -8)
- Ah, that's confusing. We did see at least a few instances of "yuksipsa" as 64 after some digging; for whatever reason, Google Translate uses "yesunnet" (its equivalent in Native Korean, as opposed to "yukisipsa" being from Sino-Korean.) We're not exactly experts on the Korean language, so we're not entirely sure what the differences are between Native and Sino-Korean, so we'll defer the answer of which one of these should be used to someone that's more of an expert on these things. Sorry for the confusion!

Had this question for a bit...[edit]
So, I was looking through the strips of "SROMG" (Square Root of Minus Garfield), and I found that one of the users of that website was named "Camwoodstock & Tori". Immediately I thought it was pretty similar to your account here. So...is this account and the SROMG account the same people? SONIC123CDMANIA+&K(B&ATSA) (talk) 09:05, December 1, 2025 (EST)
- Yep! Same ones.

Donkey Kong 3[edit]
In regards to my recent edit on Donkey Kong 3, I knew we had a "better source needed" template, I just doubt there's any site that's a better source. Maybe someone will make an article with the info someday, but Donkey Kong 3 is not as popular as it's predecessors, so I doubt it Regardless, no harm in adding the template. —

Dutch and French names for Cow[edit]
I feel like the edit you undid on Cow was kinda unnecessary. I understand that the phrasing is fine, but in my opinion saying that "Boe-Boe" and "Meuh-Meuh" are respectively repetitions of the Dutch and French onomatopeias for a cow's moo is unnecessary, given that in the same page, for instance, the Korean name for Cow, "Eummae-Eummae" is translated simply as "Moo-Moo" and not as a repetition of the Korean onomatopeia eummae. --La Ioscia Viola (talk) 16:27, December 19, 2025 (EST)
- Personally, we feel like it'd be helpful to designate what's the equivalent onomatopoeia for "moo" versus what's just the word for "cow", but we definitely can see what you mean, especially since, right now, Dutch and French are the only ones that even offer this clarification.
