Multiple accountsEdit
Dear Balugio, This is your third account after Weegee Lova (talk) and Weegie (talk), and they have been blocked. Please continue to use this Balugio account from now on, as any further accounts that are created will also be blocked, including this one. If a problem arises with this account, please contact an administrator before creating another account, which can be done without logging in. You can also use Special:PasswordReset to get a new temporary password. |
You've created three accounts in a span of five days. Please do not create excessive accounts for no reason and only create one and stick with it if you wish to edit. Mario JC 09:08, August 30, 2024 (EDT)
GPoppyEdit
It's obviously short for "Grand Poppy" (notice the letter case), and it's an affectionate way of referring to your own grandfather; you wouldn't use this term to refer to someone else's. Mario JC 12:48, August 30, 2024 (EDT)
That’s right, sorry. I just get pissed off ‘cause it already happened to me before (I’m talking about what I wrote getting deleted, although it happened in the fandom wiki). Weegie baby (talk)
RE: Mario's familyEdit
I think there's enough for a category, but it should only have entries that have been officially established as being members of that category. If it's not confirmed by Nintendo or it's something made up by users, it shouldn't go in the category, so you should consider that before creating ones for those characters like Peach and Daisy (who are not confirmed to be related) or a supposed "Toadstool family". (And unless that Fandom wiki had a source proving this, Wario, Waluigi and Stanley being the Mario Bros' cousins has also not been confirmed.)
A category page also shouldn't be made if it's too small for one (see MarioWiki:Categories#Size and scope). Mario JC 23:17, August 30, 2024 (EDT)
Got it. Weegie baby (talk)
Talk pagesEdit
Hi! Talk pages are meant to discuss how to improve an article/constructive purposes. Your edit on Wild Wendell's talk page was not constructive. If you want to casually discuss about the Mario franchise, you can do so on the Mario Boards or the Discord server. Thanks! Sparks (talk) 14:09, September 3, 2024 (EDT)
File:Weegie baby's beautiful photo found online.jpegEdit
Hello! Your most recent image you uploaded (File:Weegie baby's beautiful photo found online.jpeg ) would be classified as a personal file. You're allowed to have up to five of them at a time. Be sure to mark your personal files by using the "personal-file" template and then add your username (for example, {{personal-file|Weegie baby}}
). I've already done this for you, but this this information will help for future personal files! Sparks (talk) 15:52, September 14, 2024 (EDT)
Make sure it is used as well (on your userpage or a custom signature) or it will be deleted. Mario JC 11:36, September 17, 2024 (EDT)
Previewing editsEdit
Hello, Balugio. When editing, if you'd like to see how your edits affect a page, use the "Show preview" button next to the "Save changes" button. This allows you to check over your edits for any errors and make any additional changes or fixes before you save, which will prevent edits from flooding the page history and recent changes. (If you are on mobile, make sure to check the preview page thoroughly before proceeding to save.) Please try to avoid making excessive, consecutive edits to a single page within a short timespan and instead limit them to as few as possible. |
RE: 3 requestsEdit
Similar reason to the categories: Mario and Luigi's family has an article because it has a lot of members, whereas those for the princesses and Bowser/Jr. don't. Also, you don't need to ask an admin specifically for these requests; leave a question on the relevant talk page to start discussion and get responses from the community, or start a proposal.
As for the redirects, this is an English-language wiki so unless a foreign name is notable like "Super Donkey Kong", we mainly stick to English redirects (not to mention there are many foreign names that are currently unsourced, so those should be prioritised first). Re: Response to the response that you gave me in Talk:List of implied charactersEdit
I don't really see how Rosalina's mother appearing in a storybook is any different than the characters who only appear on photographs or have statues based on them. Mogera Kong is in a similar situation, only being pictured on a flyer. I'm not sure if being pictured in a guide counts… probably not?
Also, in the future can you please reply to this on the article's talk page itself, so it's easier for others to see and respond to? (Don't delete what you sent me on my talk page). You could also post some of those pics there if you want. Technetium (talk) 07:06, October 22, 2024 (EDT)
User:Weegie baby/!!!!!"Edit
Dear Balugio, It has come to our attention that you are currently in violation of the userspace policy (Unconstructive subpage - User:Weegie baby/!!!!!"). Please review the policy and abide by it, or else a warning will be issued. Thank you for your cooperation. |
Hi! Your user subpage that you created violated the Userspace policy. User subpages are meant to be constructive (e.g. sandboxes, signatures and status pages), and this one isn't. Please move this content onto your userpage. For a complete list of what user subpages are acceptable, check the Userspace policy article. Thank you! Sparks (talk) 08:58, November 5, 2024 (EST)
Re: Hey, Bro!Edit
Why are they asking each other? Are they stupid? Wonder Time!
- What do you mean? Weegie baby (talk) 08:25, January 22, 2025 (EST)
TranslationsEdit
Special:Diff/4656147 - In the future, please do not use ChatGPT or machine translators like Google Translate for that matter for translations; they're not accurate a lot of the time for more complex terms. If you don't know the language, leave the names for others who do. Mario JC 07:34, January 25, 2025 (EST)
Please stop using machine translators on official texts for articles on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
ItalicsEdit
Hello, Balugio! Thanks for your contributions. When writing titles for media like games, films, TV shows, and publications, please remember to italicize them. This is done by placing two straight apostrophes (not quotation marks or curly apostrophes) on both sides of the title, or clicking on the I icon above the text box and typing out the title. For example, typing out ''[[Super Mario Bros.]]'' generates Super Mario Bros.
If you are using a device that uses curly ("smart") punctuation, you may need to disable this function in your device's settings to be able to type out the correct apostrophes. |
RE: Super Mario seriesEdit
I don't see anything on the page that says "Super Mario series", only the filter option for "Super Mario". Even if it did say that exactly, they would've obviously meant the Mario franchise as a whole since this list includes spin-offs (and "series" and "franchise" are often used interchangeably). The Super Mario series as we call it is the main platformer series, so why would games like Mario & Sonic Tokyo 2020 be part of it? That page is the same result you'd get from clicking on the search icon, then on "All Super Mario games" - it's meant to be a list of all Mario games viewable on the website. Mario JC 08:05, July 10, 2025 (EDT)
EditsEdit
Please vet your edits better in pages. Several of your contributions have been undone for containing glaring problems such as including information already in the article[1], adding a unverified source from a Wiki[2], changing a commonly accepted name in a high-traffic page to a dubious name from a small mobile spinoff game with dubious rationale[3] (debating legality of their status is irrelevant concerning these are silly fictional characters for a children's series; no one will or should elaborate on this), and adding information about a statue that is not necessarily applicable to information about Mario's height[4]. You have been racking up several messages concerning the quality of your edits, so please review your talk page and MarioWiki policy pages, and proceed carefully. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 18:38, August 9, 2025 (EDT)
Talk page proposalsEdit
Hey, you recently made two talk page proposals (here and here) without adding them to the list of ongoing talk page proposals, which caused me and probably other users to not realise that you had made them. In future, please remember to add any talk page proposals you make to the list, as this makes it more likely people will see them.
