Hey, I'm Primative and I'm new to this wiki!
Mario games have been a staple in my game time for most of my life. I grew up with a Game Boy Advance SP and vividly remember going to GameStop once a week to scope out their GBA library. Since the DS had already been out, and the store's remaining GBA games were loose carts in their little locked case, I realize now this may have been a cost-cutting measure by my parents. Little did any of us know this led to me experiencing some of the best that classic handheld gaming had to offer!
Completing games became a big interest of mine after trying out the Super Mario Advance series. I ended up collecting the set of four, and I later got so interested in other Mario games that I figured out how to use eBay to buy classic Game Boy games like Super Mario Land. I even got a false cart of Super Mario Land 2 that had the correct shell, but the game's board was swapped to be Pokémon Yellow! Later on, I was lucky to get a DS, Wii, 3DS, and now Switch 1 and Switch 2, blasting through all the Mario games I could get my hands on.
In retrospect, I realize that completing these games would have been so much more difficult without MarioWiki and similar sites. If the site had been missing information, confusingly written, or not organized properly, I could have easily fallen out of wanting to finish games. So I'm here now as a cranky adult to help maintain the site and share my experiences with this dedicated community!
