Super Mario Bros. 3: The Ugly Mermaid is a VHS release of The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 released in December 3, 1993 by Buena Vista Home Video.[1] It contains two episodes: "The Ugly Mermaid" and "Do the Koopa." The front cover features a worried Frog Mario holding onto Frog Luigi with Holly Mackerel underwater, while the back cover features them and Frog Princess Toadstool with King Mackerel.
Blurb[edit]
In The Ugly Mermaid, King Koopa attacks an underwater city where the Brothers discover Holly Mackerel, a mermaid who's determined to sink her hooks into Mario!
Then, in Do the Koopa, the Mushroom Kingdom is in trouble when a magic music box falls into evil hands! It's up to the Super Mario Brothers to save the day!
Errors[edit]
- King Koopa and the Frog Suits' sclerae are colored white instead of yellow.
- The front cover of the VHS features a miscolored Raccoon Mario, with skin-colored sclerae and white pupils instead of white sclerae and black pupils and the buttons on his overalls and the stripes on his gloves colored the same as his overalls and shirt, respectively. These coloring errors are present on all VHS releases of The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 by Buena Vista Home Video except Super Mario Bros. 3: Misadventures In Babysitting. The front cover also colors King Koopa's eyes as white instead of yellow.
