OH, BRAVO!
King Sammer, Super Paper Mario

King Sammer (a.k.a. King Sammer IVTemplate:Refneeded) is the leader of the Sammer Guys that appeared in Super Paper Mario. To reach him, Mario must defeat all 100 Sammer Guys throughout his land, Sammer's Kingdom. In Chapter 6-1, Mario and his teammates arrive at his kingdom and meet the king. He was in possession of the Pure Heart of this Chapter and agrees only to give it to the adventurers if they defeat his 100 Sammer Guys. Later, as Sammer's Kingdom is very close to distruction, King Sammer orders his minions to stop battling and lets Mario just meet him to get the pure heart. However, Mimi has the original king taken out in the first place and disguises as King Sammer. She then battles against the heroes to slow down their pace. When the heroes reach the 30th gate, Sammer's Kingdom is destroyed along with the king himself.

At the end of the game, Sammer's Kingdom is brought back to existence, along with its inhabitants. When the player beats all 100 of his Sammer Guys, he gives Mario seven rare Catch Cards. These specific cards depict Mario's partners from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. King Sammer's own Catch Card can be obtained before Chapter 6, since the map that leads the player to the card (Map 4) is available as soon as they meet Flamm.

According to Garson of the Flipside bar, The Underwhere, the younger sister of Merlumina was sent to Sammer's Kingdom to deliver the purple Pure Heart to King Sammer I, but fell in love with him and stayed behind. The two eventually got married and ended having 100 children together. If this story is true, this means that King Sammer IV is a descendant of the Ancients. The 100 vassals may also be a reference to their 100 children.
