The Dark Barribad is an enemy from Super Paper Mario. It can be found in the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials. It is a sub-species of Barribads. It appears similar to, and may even be related to the Yux species from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. The Dark Barribad projects an impenetrable barrier around itself when Mario, Princess Peach, Bowser, or Luigi approach, and shoots rings of energy at them. However, by flipping to 3D, the player can go around the barrier, switch to 2D, and defeat it.

- Interestingly only one Dark Barribad appears in Super Paper Mario. It resides in the middle of room #73 in the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials.
